Bird stamp

Philatelists interested in a particular subject are very exciting and exceptional people. They collect specific postage stamps, covers, post cards, postmarks and other types of philatelic goods.

A lot of people all over the world like birds. This is the reason why so many collectors choose this subject for their collections. Every single collector determines his own collection strategy: focus his attention on specific postage items or products from specific countries and decides what kind of bird images he will collect on the first place. Postage stamps displaying various birds are issued all over the world. Collectors usually find information about new issues on the Internet or in printing press and buy a particular bird stamp. It is very time- and energy- consuming work which deserves to be respected.

Postage stamp issue quite often comes along with the issuing of some additional products. That could be, for example, a First Day Cover (FDC). Collectors may be interested in such products as well because it usually includes not only a bird stamp, but an interesting appropriate postmark. The cover can be also properly designed.

For example, issued on July 6, 2011, in New Zealand, very unusual round stamps were featured with Round Kiwi FDC:

October 11, 2010, Ascension Island post issued a set of stamp showing The Yellow Canary, which in combination with FDC looks incredibly harmoniously. Stamps, cover and postmark together form a perfect whole:
